Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Motor Carrier / Daily Route Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be the backbone of our daily distribution operations, providing essential support through efficient route driving and manual handling. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, box trucks, and vans for daily delivery routes, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and DOT regulations. Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly. Deliver goods directly to customers' locations, providing excellent customer service with a professional attitude. Manually handle packages and materials, including heavy lifting and moving items in warehouse or delivery settings, following safe lifting practices. Use mobile devices or route management systems to navigate routes efficiently and update delivery statuses in real-time. Assist with warehouse operations when not on the road, including material handling and inventory management tasks. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services, especially with box trucks or van drivers. Warehouse experience involving manual handling, moving heavy items, or operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Knowledge of commercial driving regulations, including DOT compliance and weight handling in the workplace. Familiarity with route driving, safe lifting practices, and adhering to traffic regulations is highly preferred. Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills.
