Job Description
IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a part-time Laboratory Support/Courier position at its facility in Decatur, AL. Ideal candidates will possess the following: A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred) Proficiency with data entry and computer applications Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs above waist level Experience with route driving and customer service (preferred) A valid US driver's license and clean driving record (including, at minimum, no accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring Laboratory Support/Courier duties include: safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule, general laboratory cleaning, prepping samples, and other duties as assigned. The schedule for this position is Friday - Sunday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
