Must possess a Driver license. Must maintain a safe driving record and be able to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds. Recruitment Notes This position will be responsible for acting as a courier, which requires operating a passenger vehicle, van, truck, or similar vehicles. The incumbent will deliver and pick up mail, packages, records, materials, equipment, documents, and other supplies going to and from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue headquarters, fire stations, vendor locations, and downtown. This position will also assist with administrative and clerical functions, including alphabetizing, sorting, filing materials, answering telephones, and performing other routine office tasks in accordance with standard procedures. The incumbent may support general office operations as needed to ensure efficient workflow. This position will be tasked with performing minor routine maintenance and service on vehicles, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and fuel levels, as well as cleaning the interior of vehicles regularly. Additionally, the incumbent will monitor mileage and vehicle performance and schedule preventative maintenance as needed. This position entails the use of physical strength and agility and may involve exposure to heat and/or rain.
