Job Description

Responsible for transporting biological specimens and supplies between SIH entities and contracted clients. Principal Accountabilities

High School diploma or equivalent Licenses and Certification
Current Illinois Drivers License Experience and Skills

Technical Experience:

N/A Physical Activities

Intermittent hand manipulation required
Intermittent lifting and carrying of 20 pounds Role Specific Responsibilities o Picks-up specimens from SIH entities and transport to appropriate facility.

o Ensures specimens are handled appropriately, and are not compromised in shipping. o Handles all infectious materials according to safe handling guidelines (OSHA, IATA and CDC). o Distributes supplies to clients. o Monitors the quality of specimens. o Maintains tracking system for transported specimens. o Maintains the company vehicle to ensure that vehicle is in safe operating condition. o Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times o Attends departmental and other meetings as necessary.
