Job Summary Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals requiring non-emergency medical travel. In this energetic role, you will operate passenger vehicles such as transit vans, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs while delivering excellent customer service. Your dedication will help clients access healthcare appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations with comfort and dignity. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your driving skills and commitment to safety make a real difference in people's lives. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vehicles including transit vans or similar transportation modes on local routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and transportation regulations. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing courteous support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals at scheduled destinations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Maintain clear communication with clients through respectful interaction and provide updates or assistance as needed during transit. Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and client interactions in compliance with state transportation regulations and company policies. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, limousine chauffeur, or in personal vehicle delivery is highly valued. Demonstrated ability to operate passenger vehicles such as vans or passenger cars safely and responsibly. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to optimize efficiency. Knowledge of manual handling techniques for assisting passengers with mobility aids or heavy luggage. Experience working within medical transportation services or similar client-focused environments is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, healthcare providers, and team members. A valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated, along with a clean driving record that complies with state transportation regulations.
