Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for patients requiring non-emergency medical appointments. In this role, you will be the friendly face and trusted driver ensuring clients arrive on time and safely. Your dedication will help improve access to healthcare, promote independence, and deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in your community while developing your driving skills. Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles with baker act passengers partitioned safely in the back of the vehicle. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful customer service at all times Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure cleanliness to maintain safety standards Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during each trip Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare facilities to coordinate schedules and address any concerns Handle lifting when assisting clients with mobility devices or luggage as needed Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and client interactions for record-keeping purposes Willing to take passenger, defensive driving course Drug screening Clean driving record Skills Experience in driving passengers with a strong focus on safety and customer care Proven ability to operate vehicles with a clean driving record Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle reliability Ability to perform lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment Strong driving skills with experience in various transportation settings including driver roles.
