In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals to various healthcare facilities and clients. Your commitment to punctuality, safety, and exceptional customer service will ensure that vital medical resources reach those who need them most. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to community health while honing your driving and logistics skills. Responsibilities Safely operate your van, to deliver medical supplies and equipment across designated routes. Load and unload items using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Follow established delivery routes diligently, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs in compliance with traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs using mobile devices or electronic systems. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on route. Ensure vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after each shift. Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and weight handling in the workplace to prevent injuries. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or commercial truck driving with a focus on safe driving practices. Familiarity with operating box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for commercial purposes; manual transmission experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of route planning, traffic regulations, and DOT compliance requirements. Ability to handle manual lifting tasks involving heavy or bulky items using proper techniques. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and healthcare personnel. Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks; comfortable with moving heavy loads safely. Proficiency with mobile devices for route navigation, delivery tracking, and communication purposes. Pay:
$130.00 - $200.00 per day
