Overview Join our dynamic team as a Medical Transport Vehicle Operator, where you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for patients and clients. Duties Safely operate medical transport vehicles such as vans, suvs and passenger vans and other client-specific vehicles following all traffic laws and safety protocols Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and empathetic customer service at all times Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports Communicate effectively using a hands free device with dispatchers, clients, and healthcare providers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance Adhere strictly to local and state transportation regulations governing passenger vehicles and medical transportation services Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or medical equipment with proper manual handling techniques Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur driving passenger or medical transport vehicles Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL or passenger vehicle license) with a clean driving record Experience operating GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning on local routes Knowledge of traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety standards for passenger vehicles and paratransit services Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients, healthcare staff, and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks related to loading mobility aids or medical supplies Prior experience in medical transportation or similar client-focused driving roles is preferred but not required Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to assisting passengers with diverse needs Join us in delivering dependable transportation services that make a difference in people's lives!
