Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles such as box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to pick up and deliver goods efficiently. Load and unload items using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks or carts. Follow established routes while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards to ensure timely deliveries. Assist in shop operations by organizing inventory, preparing items for delivery, and maintaining a clean workspace. Communicate effectively with customers during delivery to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns professionally. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs using mobile devices or other digital tools. Support warehouse activities including moving materials, stacking pallets, and operating warehouse equipment safely. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or delivery driving is preferred. Valid driver's license with commercial driving experience; experience with box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles is highly desirable. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and safe driving practices. Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper lifting techniques and manual handling safety standards. Knowledge of route planning, traffic regulations, and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance requirements. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts is a plus. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
