Job Description

Summary:
Use a sadan to transport clients from one responsible person to another, all with five star service. Five Star Special Transport mainly takes people with disabilities to and from their medical appointments, making sure the patient gets to the next responsible person. Our company is looking for someone with a flexible schedule that could use our sedan to do rides here and there Monday-Friday somewhere between 6am and 7pm. Our vehicle would be parked at your hourse. Hours would be 10-20/week to start, but this is expected to grow in the near future! This could mean more hours, bonuses, or additional job opportunities! 2) Five Star Special Transport was founded to out perform all other special needs transportation in Clark County. One of our founders, Gregg, experienced first hand the lack of quality within this field, and Five Star Special Transport was designed to fix these problems and even do better! If hired, you would be a part of our mission, which is to provide no less than Five Star service to our guests who we transport.
Benefits:
$1/hour raise after 6 months Generous bonus in December for drivers who have been with the company for at least 1 year based on hours worked, if company grows in profit. Bonus for five star reveiw. Bonus for safest driver. This job includes but is not limited to:
  • Driving safely to our rider's pickup location.
  • Entering our rider's premises.
  • Escorting our riders to our vehicle
  • Driving safely to our rider's destination.
  • Making sure riders follow safety protocol while inside the vehicle.
  • Escorting riders to the next responsible supervisory person (if a medical appointment, making sure they are all checked in).
  • Using our company's scheduling, navigation, and communication software proficiently.
  • Keeping the interior and exterior of our vehicles clean.
  • Performing safety inspections on vehicles
  • Building positive relationships with our riders and various rider supervisors (medical staff, guardians, caregivers, family members, etc.).
  • Communicating with dispatch on trip status and when problems arise.
  • Taking precautions when transporting clients with viral or physical illnesses. Social Qualifications
  • Able to always have a cheerful and professional demeanor.
  • Able to make friendly conversation with our riders, doing more listening than talking.
  • Able to show sympathy/empathy to our riders.
  • Able to relate well with children and seniors.
  • Able to be flexible when things don't go according to plan, such as a schedule change, catering to an unexpected special need that arises, etc.
  • Able to practice patience while working with people with special needs, caregivers, assisted living facilities, etc. Other Qualifications
  • Very flexible schedule
  • 25 years old or older.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable cell phone that can be used constantly on the job
  • 5 or more years of driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Pass a county, state, and FBI fingerprint criminal background check
  • Pass a pre-employment and random drug tests, including testing for marijuana
  • 2 years of customer service (preferred)
  • 2 years of working with the elderly or people with special needs (preferred)
  • Have a basic understanding of how to use applications on a smartphone
  • Able to push heavy people up ramps and driveways
  • Able to bend, squat, kneel, and reach to properly use vehicle safety equipment
Training:
Approximately 40 hours of practical and educational training. Applicants are paid for their training. The training includes but is not limited to:
  • Safety equipment training
  • Ride alongs
  • Defensive Driving online course
  • CPR and First Aid online certification course
  • PASS online certification course
  • Child car seat and booster seat online course
  • HIPPA Online training
Job Hours and Pay:
Part Time Work Mon-Fri. Up to 8 hour shift somewhere between 6am-7pm. Start time is revealed the night before. Right now we have 10-20 hours a week to offer somewhere between 6am-7pm Monday-Friday. However, you would be helping our company take on more rides in Cowlitz County. As our rides grow, so will your hours.
Pay:
$24.07/hour. $1 raise after 6 months.

Do you have a clean criminal history? If not, please explain. Are you ok with not knowing your schedule until the night before you work? Are you ok with using your smart phone throughout the day at work? Our company transports clients to and from hospitals. Transporting clients with illnesses like cold, flu, COVID19, and MRSA is unavoidable. Proper PPE and instruction on basic precautions are given. Are you ok with transporting these clients? How long have you been driving a car? This does not need to be professionally. Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket, moving vehicle violation, or caused an accident? If so, please describe the violation or accident and tell us when it was. Will you be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug tests, including testing for marijuana and medication that can impair your driving? Are you open to taking on more hours in the near future? Do you have the physical ability to spot clients as they are getting into our vehicle, and potentially catch them if they were to fall? Do you have a flexible schedule allowing you to do 10 to 20 hours worth of rides somewhere between Monday-Friday from 6am-7pm? Do you currently live in the Longview/Kelso area? Are you ok with parking our sedan at your house? And do you have a safe place to park it?
