This is an ideal position for someone looking for supplemental income, students, or anyone who needs a schedule that can accommodate other commitments. You will be an essential part of our moving team, helping individuals and businesses safely and efficiently relocate their belongings.
Key Responsibilities Lifting & Carrying:
Safely lift, carry, load, and unload furniture, boxes, and other items of varying weights and sizes (often requiring team lifting).
Packing & Prepping:
Assist with basic packing, disassembly/assembly of furniture, and wrapping items (e.g., using moving blankets and shrink wrap) to prevent damage.
Logistics & Loading:
Carefully load and unload the moving truck/van, utilizing space efficiently to ensure a secure and damage-free transport.
Customer Service:
Maintain a positive, professional, and courteous attitude when interacting with clients and team members.
Site Management:
Ensure the moving sites (both old and new residences/offices) are kept clean and free of debris during the moving process.
Scheduling & Flexibility Flexible Assignments:
Work is assigned based on our client bookings. You will be notified of available shifts, and you can accept or decline based on your availability.
Typical Shifts:
Assignments can vary from a few hours to a full day. Weekend availability is a plus, but not always required. Hour available may vary from 20-40hrs per week
Communication:
Must be responsive to scheduling calls/texts, typically with 24 hours notice of an assignment.
Qualifications Physical Fitness:
Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry items. Comfortable standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods.
Reliability:
Punctuality and commitment to showing up when you accept a shift are non-negotiable.
Team Player:
Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly as part of a small team. Bilingual (Preferred): Proficiency in Spanish is a strong advantage but not required. 1099
Status Acknowledgment:
Must understand and accept that you will be compensated as an Independent Contractor (1099) and will be responsible for your own taxes.
Requirements:
