In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient loading, unloading, packing, and moving of goods and personal belongings. Your efforts will directly contribute to providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations during relocations or deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a commitment to adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading items using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies. Pack, wrap, and secure items carefully to prevent damage during transit. Safely operate various types of vehicles including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for delivery or moving purposes. Follow established routes while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload materials efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and safe lifting practices. Support warehouse operations by organizing inventory, managing storage areas, and maintaining cleanliness. Communicate professionally with customers regarding delivery or moving schedules and address any concerns promptly. Use mobile devices or GPS tools to navigate routes effectively. Assist with the setup or disassembly of furniture or equipment as needed during moves. Maintain safety protocols during all manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Qualifications Prior experience in warehouse operations, moving services, or delivery driving is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or experience with commercial truck driving is preferred. Experience operating box trucks, cargo vans, or personal vehicles for delivery purposes. Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently. Familiarity with DOT regulations related to weight handling and vehicle operation. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Physical stamina to handle manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items regularly.
