Meehan's Family Moving is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Mover/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will safely transport customers' belongings, assist with loading and unloading, and help ensure each move is completed efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, follows safety procedures, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service. This is a physically active position that requires regular lifting, carrying, and handling of furniture, boxes, and household goods. Key Responsibilities 1.)

Driving & Transportation:

Safely operate company vehicles while transporting customers' belongings to and from residential, commercial, and storage locations. 2.)

Loading & Unloading:

Safely load, unload, carry, and properly secure furniture, boxes, appliances, and other household goods. 3.)

Protecting Customer Property:

Use proper moving techniques and equipment to help prevent damage to customers' belongings, homes, and property. 4.)

Equipment Operation:

Safely use moving equipment, including hand trucks, 4-wheel dollies, pallet jacks, ramps, and other moving equipment as needed. 5.)

Customer Service:

Provide courteous, professional, and respectful service throughout the moving process and assist with customer questions or concerns when appropriate. 6.)

Vehicle & Warehouse Maintenance:

Help maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked company vehicles, equipment, and warehouse areas. 7.)

Documentation:

Accurately complete required job paperwork, inventory documentation, inspections, and other company records. 8.)

Teamwork:

Work closely with crew members, drivers, operations staff, and management to complete moves safely and efficiently. 9.)

Safety:

Follow company policies, safe lifting practices, traffic laws, and all applicable safety procedures while working and driving. Qualifications

• Strong ability to perform physical labor and heavy lifting throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and maneuver furniture, boxes, and moving equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, company procedures, and safety requirements.
• Previous moving, delivery, warehouse, or transportation experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience operating manual-transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Familiarity with commercial driving and safe vehicle operation is beneficial.
• Driver Requirements
• Valid driver's license.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
• Must follow all company driving policies and applicable traffic regulations.
• Schedule & Availability
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on customer needs.
• Weekend availability is required when scheduled.
• Start and finish times may vary depending on the length and location of scheduled moves.
