Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading items from trucks, including box trucks and vans, using proper manual handling techniques. Safely move furniture, boxes, and equipment within warehouses or customer locations, adhering to safe lifting practices. Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary to facilitate efficient load management. Support drivers during route driving by helping with navigation and ensuring timely deliveries. Load and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage, following weight handling guidelines in the workplace. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including securing items during transit and storage. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth delivery experiences while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Requirements Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Experience with commercial driving, including box trucks, van drivers, or courier services. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently using proper manual handling techniques. Knowledge of traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and route driving best practices. Comfortable working with mobile devices for communication or documentation purposes. Strong customer service skills to assist clients professionally during deliveries. Ability to work physically demanding shifts involving manual handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks.
