$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Job description: American Packout of Charlotte - Charlotte, NC Build a Career Helping People Recover What Matters Most American Packout of Atlanta is a growing contents restoration company specializing in the packout, inventory, cleaning, restoration, transportation, and storage of personal belongings following water, fire, mold, and other property losses. When someone experiences a major property loss, their belongings can represent years—even generations—of memories and possessions. Our job is to handle those items with care, accuracy, and professionalism while helping our customers navigate a difficult situation. We are looking for dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented people who take pride in doing a job right. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys physical work, working with a team, solving problems, staying organized, and helping customers. Restoration experience is helpful, but the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn are just as important. What You'll Do As a Packout Technician, you will work as part of a team responsible for safely handling and documenting customer belongings throughout the contents restoration process.

Your responsibilities may include:

Carefully pack, wrap, protect, and move household and business contents. Photograph and document individual items using tablets and inventory software. Create accurate inventories and maintain proper item identification and tracking. Label boxes, containers, furniture, and storage vaults accurately. Load and unload trucks and move contents between job sites, facilities, and storage. Assist with cleaning and restoration of contents using company-approved methods and equipment. Organize contents within storage vaults and maintain accurate storage records. Handle furniture, appliances, electronics, artwork, clothing, household goods, and other personal belongings with care. Work in customer homes, businesses, warehouses, and other job-site environments. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Follow company safety procedures and properly use required PPE. Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners, restoration contractors, and team members. Work closely with Packout Technicians, Drivers, Project Managers, and other members of the restoration team. Perform other duties necessary to successfully complete packout and contents restoration projects. Experience That Can Help You Succeed Previous experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position.

You must be able to:

Lift and carry items weighing 50+ lbs. Repeatedly lift, push, pull, carry, and maneuver items. Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, kneel, squat, reach, and work in various positions. Safely maneuver furniture and other large or awkward items. Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. Work in varying temperatures and job-site conditions. Work in damaged structures and confined or tight spaces when required. Work in environments that may be hot, cold, wet, dusty, smoky, or otherwise challenging depending on the loss. Customer Service Matters You will frequently work inside someone's home or business during a stressful time. That means how you conduct yourself matters.
