$16.00-$20.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly About the Position Caring Transitions of North Pittsburgh is looking for reliable, hardworking, and compassionate individuals to join our Clean-Out and Moving Crew on a casual, part-time basis. Our team helps seniors and their families through downsizing, relocation, estate clean-outs, and the removal of unwanted items. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that involves moving furniture and household items, sorting belongings, loading trucks and dumpsters, and helping keep properties clean and organized. Because we work primarily with seniors and their families, trustworthiness, patience, compassion, and professionalism are just as important as physical strength. This position is ideal for someone looking for flexible, active work , including students, retirees looking for supplemental income, or individuals who enjoy hands-on work.
Key Responsibilities Heavy Lifting & Moving:
Safely lift, carry, and load furniture, appliances, boxes, household goods, and debris into trucks or dumpsters.
Property Clean-Outs:
Sort, bag, organize, and remove unwanted items from basements, attics, garages, homes, businesses, and entire estates.
Safe Work Practices:
Use proper lifting techniques and appropriate safety equipment to minimize the risk of injury.
Protect Client Property:
Take care when moving items through homes to prevent damage to walls, floors, doors, and other property.
Teamwork:
Work cooperatively with crew leaders and other team members to complete jobs efficiently and within scheduled timeframes.
Client Interaction:
Communicate politely and professionally with clients when needed, demonstrating patience, compassion, and respect throughout what can often be an emotional transition.
Follow Instructions:
Listen carefully to crew leaders and follow job-specific instructions regarding sorting, removal, loading, and disposal. Maintain a

Represent Caring Transitions with a positive, respectful, and trustworthy attitude at every job site. Qualifications & Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a work shift. Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, and move items up and down stairs for extended periods. Comfortable working in basements, attics, garages, storage areas, and other challenging environments. Reliable transportation is required. Job locations may change from day to day, and employees must be able to independently travel to assigned job sites and/or our main office. Dependable and punctual. When you commit to a shift, showing up is essential. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Professional, polite, and respectful communication skills. Must be trustworthy and able to work respectfully in clients' homes and around personal belongings. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and complete an I-9 form. Successful completion of a background check is required. Our employees are bonded and insured to help safeguard the clients and property we serve. Previous experience in moving, construction, landscaping, warehousing, junk removal, or similar physical work is a plus, but not required. We will train the right person.
