Overview Join Simply Organized Garage as a Garage Organization & Moving Assistant and help homeowners transform cluttered garages into clean, functional spaces. This is a hands-on, physically active role that combines organizing, moving, decluttering, and light junk removal. You'll work alongside our team at customer homes throughout the DFW area, helping sort belongings, move boxes and storage bins, create organized zones, and prepare unwanted items for donation or removal. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys physical work, stays productive without constant supervision, takes direction well, and likes seeing a clear before-and-after result. Responsibilities Assist with garage cleanouts, decluttering, and organization projects Move and lift boxes, storage totes, tools, shelving, and other household or garage items Help sort belongings into keep, donate, trash, and relocate categories Group and organize items by type to create functional storage zones Return organized items to shelving, cabinets, bins, and designated storage areas Load donations, trash, and unwanted items into trucks or trailers Break down cardboard and consolidate items for removal Help move or assemble basic freestanding shelving when needed Label bins and storage areas as directed Sweep or blow out garage floors at the end of projects Work efficiently alongside team members while also completing assigned tasks independently Handle clients' belongings carefully and respectfully Maintain a professional and friendly attitude while working in customers' homes Follow basic safety practices when lifting, carrying, and moving heavier items Skills & Qualifications Comfortable performing physical work for several hours at a time Able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds independently Comfortable bending, reaching, walking, and repeatedly moving boxes and storage containers Able to work in garages that may be hot, cold, dusty, or cluttered Dependable and able to arrive on time when scheduled Able to follow direction while also working independently Good judgment and attention to detail Strong work ethic and willingness to stay productive throughout a project Comfortable interacting professionally with homeowners Reliable transportation to customer job sites Previous experience in moving, professional organizing, junk removal, warehouse work, home services, or similar physical work is helpful but not required Schedule This is a part-time, as-needed position. Hours vary based on our project schedule and are not guaranteed each week. Projects may be scheduled on weekdays or weekends. Team members are contacted as projects are scheduled to determine availability. Pay $15-$18 per hour, based on experience Paid upon job completion Work Location This is a mobile position. Work is performed at customer homes throughout the DFW area rather than at one fixed location.
