Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic aviation team as a Flight Instructor and ignite the passion for flying in aspiring pilots! In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive flight training, ensuring students develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to excel in aviation. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of pilots by providing engaging instruction that adheres to all regulatory standards and safety protocols. Duties Deliver flight instruction across a variety of aircraft, including single-engine and multi-engine airplanes, ensuring adherence to FAR Part 61 regulations and FAA standards. Conduct classroom teaching sessions on topics such as aircraft systems, aerodynamics, navigation, and aviation safety, utilizing effective communication and public speaking skills. Develop and update curriculum materials for flight training programs, incorporating best practices in aviation education and simulation-based instruction. Provide instrument flight instruction under IFR (Instrument Flight Rules), guiding students through complex procedures with clarity and confidence. Supervise flight simulator sessions to enhance pilot proficiency in a controlled environment, preparing students for real-world flying scenarios. Assess student progress through evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and tailor training plans to meet individual learning needs. Maintain detailed records of flight hours, training milestones, aircraft maintenance logs, and compliance documentation in accordance with FAA regulations. Requirements Proven experience in flying aircraft, including helicopters and multi-engine airplanes; military experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), especially FAR Part 61 regulation governing pilot certification and training. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in both classroom settings and hands-on flight environments; prior classroom experience is preferred. Expertise in curriculum development for aviation training programs that include instrument flight instruction and simulator-based learning. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse student populations through public speaking and clear instruction. Familiarity with aircraft maintenance procedures to ensure safety during flight operations. Multilingual abilities are a plus, facilitating communication with a broader range of students. $32.50 - $35.00 per hour
