Primary Purpose:
To assist the Senior Marine JROTC instructor in carrying out policies relative to the administration of the Marine JROTC Program.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Must be certified by U.S. Marines for employment as a marine instructor for National Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps.
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Able to interpret data and evaluate programs and teaching effectiveness Able to manage budget and personnel Able to implement policy and procedures Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional and Program Management Assist the Senior Marine Instructor (SMI) in all areas of duties where not prohibited by school policy or law. Provide instruction in leadership and frill portion of curriculum to all cadets, grades 9-12. Manage the equipment custodian and supply representative for the MJROTC department. Coordinate all equipment and supply orders through the SMI. Provide academic instruction to first-year cadets, as directed by SMI. Manage the cadet drill team(s) and color guard(s). Provide supervision at training sessions and public performances. Manage the cadet Drug Awareness Presentation Team. This team provides Substance abuse awareness training to the middle school(s). Assist teachers and administrators in performing such duties as a chaperon and crowd control. Perform senior instructor duties when SMI is absent or not available. Assume supervisory role of cadet corps in this situation. Other Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Maintain an appropriate level of technology competence to meet the current and future needs of Alief. Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of Professional Non-Supervisor Personnel.

Salary Range Min. $69,599 Mid. $82,140 Max. $94,681 (Based on previous experience) Salaries are determined by the number of completed and eligible years of service at an accredited school. Salary is based on 222 days. If working less than 222 days, the salary will be less.
