Regular CA Driver's License ( No CDL Required! ) About the Role Brandeis Marin, a Jewish Independent School in San Rafael, CA, is hiring reliable, safety-conscious School Van Drivers to transport K-8 students safely to and from school. Standard 8-to-10 passenger school vans are used, so no commercial driver's license (CDL) is required . We are currently hiring for 1 Regular Driver and 2 Substitute / On-Call Drivers . Morning and Afternoon Shifts- Choose What Works For You! Tell us which schedule you prefer when you apply: Both Shifts (Morning & Afternoon): 15-20 hours/week (6:15 AM
- 8:00 AM AND 2:45 PM
- 5:00 PM)
Morning Only:
8-10 hours/week (6:15 AM- 8:00 AM, Mon-Fri)
Afternoon Only:
8-10 hours/week (2:45 PM- 5:00 PM, Mon-Fri) Substitute /
On-Call:
Flexible / As Needed (Each route run takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. A great job for retirees, gig workers, students or anyone looking for consistent extra income!) Main Responsibilities Drive 8-to-10 passenger school vans safely on designated routes. Perform basic safety checks on the van before and after trips. Be punctual, safe, and friendly with students and parents. Communicate proactively with the Operations Manager regarding route status.Requirements Driver's License:
Valid CA Driver's License held for 8+ years (Class C — No CDL required).Driving Record:
Completely clean DMV record (no at-fault accidents or citations for the last 5 years).Education:
High School diploma or GED.Clearances:
Must pass a standard school background check, drug test, and fingerprinting (Live Scan).Certifications:
CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to get certified upon hire). As a visible role model for K-8 children, candidates must maintain a professional and school-appropriate public presence.Pay:
