Duties Operate a range of vehicles such as passenger vans, shuttle buses, limousines, and delivery vans to transport clients or goods efficiently. Ensure adherence to all traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety standards during every trip. Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks to guarantee vehicle safety and reliability. Navigate using GPS systems to follow designated routes accurately and efficiently. Assist passengers or clients with boarding, disembarking, and loading/unloading luggage or cargo with proper manual handling techniques. Communicate professionally with clients regarding pick-up times, routes, or any delays; maintain clear client communication throughout the journey. Maintain detailed logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports for operational transparency. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver with a strong focus on passenger or cargo transportation. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local driving routes for efficient route planning. Ability to operate various passenger vehicles including vans, limousines, shuttle buses, and personal delivery vehicles safely. Knowledge of traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols relevant to passenger vehicle operation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling when loading or unloading cargo or luggage. Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus for specialized roles requiring sensitive handling of passengers. Strong communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers, clients, and team members effectively. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure vehicle reliability on the road.
