Job Description
Overview I refer to myself as alternatively abled as I find alternative ways to pursue my own interests and passions despite my physical limitations. For instance, I am a novelist with a doctorate. I hire, train, and manage my support staff who assist me in daily tasks that I am physically unable to do. Currently, I am broadening my small team of mindful support staff by hiring for day shift 8am - 5pm at $23.00-$25.00. Around 8am, I need physical assistance with getting out of bed, toileting, eating a premade breakfast, doing my personal hygiene, and grooming. After I get set up in my power wheelchair with my eye gaze communication system, I typically email for a while before I work on my reality-based novels or other work. While I happily exercise this cognitive independence of mine, you do housework, and cat care for my comical boys named Bradley, Billy, and Barack. Throughout the day, I need physical assistance with eating premade meals, toileting, taking medicine and natural supplements, but I know exactly what I need and when - no guesswork required. Like everyone else, I go shopping, to doctor's appointments, friends' houses, and other places. I have a insured minivan that my support staff need to drive. Since I love my dynamic life that has a certain amount of routine, staff who can go with the flow enjoy working for me. I am gregariously introverted, so I appreciate support staff who can give me personal space while being present to provide help when I request it.
