FedEx Delivery Driver - Personal Vehicle & Flexible Schedule - Shafter, CA We are a FedEx Ground contractor looking for safe, reliable drivers to deliver smaller packages to our customers. We operate out of the Shafter FedEx terminal (3300 Enterprise St. Shafter, CA 93263) 7 days a week. Position Details Full-time or part-time available Routes range from 4-8 hours, depending on volume and driver availability Priority given to candidates available on Saturdays & Sundays Deliver smaller packages (envelopes and small boxes) Use your own AWD vehicle (minivan, SUV, or truck with locking bed cover) Vehicle Requirements Must be a passenger vehicle (minivan, SUV, or pickup with locking bed cover) - no cargo vans Must be less than 15 years old Must have valid insurance and registration (no temporary tags) Typical Day Start between 7-8 AM (flexible start times available) Pick up and load packages at Shafter FedEx terminal Use company-provided navigation software and barcode scanner Return scanner and any undelivered packages at the end of route Pay & Compensation Drivers are compensated per stop, with guaranteed minimums to ensure fair pay: City Routes (4-6 hours): $1.80 per stop ($1.5 wages + $0.30 mileage) Guaranteed minimum: 100 stops/day = $150 wages + $30 mileage reimbursement Rural Routes (6-8 hours): $3.50 per stop ($2.80 wages + $0.70 mileage) Guaranteed minimum: 50 stops/day = $140 wages + $35 mileage reimbursement Compensation beyond guaranteed minimums is paid at the standard per-stop rate. Paid weekly via direct deposit. Requirements 21 years or older At least 1 year of licensed driving experience Clean driving record (past 3 years) Must pass a background check & pre-hire drug screen (includes THC) Provide make/model/year of delivery vehicle Benefits $25+/hour equivalent pay (based on route and stop count) Flexible schedule Paid training
