Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Deliver products to retail stores, commercial clients, and other designated locations while adhering to scheduled routes and delivery timelines. Manage merchandise loading and unloading with proper heavy lifting techniques to ensure safety and efficiency. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, answer questions, and address any concerns professionally to foster positive relationships. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while following organizational procedures. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during client interactions. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with all safety standards. Experience Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly preferred. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product handling and presentation. Demonstrated skills in basic math for pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management. Strong communication skills for effective client communication and team coordination. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, and heavy lifting techniques is essential. Proven ability to build customer relationships through excellent customer service skills. Organizational skills to manage schedules efficiently, handle multiple deliveries, and maintain accurate records.
