Long Tail Logistics is a brand-new Amazon Delivery Service Partner launching at Station DMD2 in Edgewood, MD, serving Harford County and the surrounding communities, including Edgewood, Aberdeen, Bel Air, Joppatowne, and Havre de Grace. Join Our Founding Drivers Group As one of our Founding Drivers , you're not just filling a seat, you're helping set the tone for the entire operation. Founding drivers get priority consideration for full, consistent weekly schedules as we build out our team in the months ahead, and you'll be first in line as we open up leadership opportunities like Lead Driver and Dispatcher down the road. A Day in the Life Arrive at the station for your scheduled shift and check in Complete a pre-trip inspection of your assigned vehicle Load and organize your van for the day's route Join a brief safety briefing before heading out Navigate your route using the Amazon delivery app (Rabbit), delivering packages safely, accurately, and on schedule Handle customer interactions professionally and represent Long Tail Logistics well in the community Return to the station, complete a post-trip inspection, and report any vehicle issues or delivery exceptions Go home. Every route here is local, there are no overnight or multi-day routes What You'll Do Deliver Amazon packages safely and on time across a mix of routes throughout Harford County Use a company-provided handheld device to navigate, scan packages, and confirm deliveries Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections every shift, no exceptions Load and organize your assigned van efficiently before heading out Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures on every route, every day Communicate promptly with dispatch if you run into delays, vehicle issues, or delivery problems Maintain a professional, customer-first attitude in every interaction What We're Looking For Reliable transportation to Station DMD2 in Edgewood, MD, consistent, on-time attendance matters Comfortable driving a wide variety of route types , from dense suburban neighborhoods to more spread-out rural roads across the county Previous experience as an Amazon Delivery Associate is preferred , but not required, we'll fully train the right candidate Basic physical fitness : this job involves frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting/carrying packages up to 50 lbs, repeatedly, throughout your shift A genuine, consistent commitment to safety. This is the single most important quality we look for, above speed, above everything A reliable, dependable attitude, attendance and consistency directly affect the whole team, not just you Comfort working independently for most of the shift, with support from dispatch when you need it Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States Schedule Full-time positions built around consistent weekly route assignments are avalable As a Founding Driver, you're positioned for a stronger shot at a full, steady schedule as we grow Some flexibility needed in the early weeks as we ramp up operations and routes Pay & Benefits Starting pay: $23.00/hour , paid on a regular schedule Health, vision, and mental health benefits available to drivers who choose to enroll, once you've completed 30 days of employment on a full-time schedule (minimum 30 hours/week) Physical Requirements This is an active, physical role based out of a delivery station environment. Expect to be standing, walking, and moving for the majority of your shift, in and out of the vehicle repeatedly, with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
