About the
Role:
We are seeking a Pre-Delivery Inspection Technician to help prepare powersports vehicles for safe, accurate, and timely customer delivery. You will follow manufacturer procedures and dealership checklists to inspect assigned vehicles, complete authorized setup tasks, and document any concerns. You will work with the service and sales teams to ensure that required preparation and corrections are completed before a vehicle is released.
Responsibilities:
Review work orders and model-specific setup and inspection instructions. Verify vehicle identification details and document visible shipping damage or missing components. Unpack and assemble assigned vehicles according to manufacturer procedures, where required. Perform specified checks of tires, brakes, steering, controls, lights, fasteners, and other applicable components. Check fluids, battery condition, and other preparation items according to the vehicle's requirements. Complete authorized adjustments using specified procedures and torque values. Install approved accessories only within your training and assigned scope. Perform operational checks in designated areas under approved safety procedures. Conduct test rides or drives only when specifically authorized and appropriately licensed, trained, and insured. Record inspection results, completed work, measurements, and unresolved concerns. Refer defects or repairs beyond your qualifications to the appropriate service technician. Notify the supervisor when required checks or corrective work remain incomplete. Clean and prepare vehicles for display or customer handover as assigned. Maintain tools and a clean, organized work area. Coordinate with sales and service staff to meet agreed delivery schedules without compromising safety.
Qualifications:
Hands-on mechanical experience or relevant technical training. Ability to follow written instructions, inspection checklists, and manufacturer specifications. Familiarity with common hand tools and safe workshop practices. Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping. Ability to identify potential defects and ask for guidance when needed. Clear communication and a cooperative approach to teamwork. Reliable attendance and ability to work the agreed schedule. Ability to perform essential duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation; specific physical requirements will be confirmed.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
