Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrival at each destination. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury. Communicate clearly with clients to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build positive relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales opportunities. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while following organizational procedures. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and automobile transportation. Strong knowledge of basic math for pricing calculations and inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Retail store experience is a plus for understanding merchandising and customer needs. Familiarity with DOT regulations to ensure compliance during all driving activities. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and keep accurate records. Sales aptitude with a focus on upselling products or services when appropriate.
