Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Delivery Driver/Store Sales associate to join our Vereens Turf team! In this role, you will be the friendly face of our company, responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently to customers while also providing exceptional in-store sales support to golf courses, athletic fields, landscapers, and home owners. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help build strong customer relationships, drive sales, and ensure smooth route operations. Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all laws, regulations, and safety practices. CDL not required. Deliver products to customers promptly while maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Engage with customers during deliveries to build rapport, and answer questions. Assist in retail store to help customers find the correct products for their needs. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths and maintaining organizational skills for timely deliveries. Handle heavy lifting with proper techniques to ensure safety during loading and unloading processes. Pallet quantity deliveries to be made with flat bed truck and mounted walk-behind gas lift. Most deliveries made by hand will be 50 lbs or less. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate deliveries, address concerns, and provide excellent customer service. Can work as little as 20 hours a week, but can make the job full-time for someone dedicated to learning about the products and willing to work in the retail store, as well as, do the necessary deliveries. Store hours are currently 8am-5pm M-F, and 8am-12pm on Saturdays. Requirements Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred; retail store experience is a plus. Experience in turf, landscaping, golf course maintenance is helpful, as well, but not necessary to be considered. Strong customer service skills. Proven ability in customer relationship building through friendly communication and professional demeanor. Knowledge of safe lifting practices, and heavy lifting safety protocols. Most products to be delivered by hand are 50 lbs or below. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to perform basic math accurately. Organizational skills to manage routes, deliveries, and store sales efficiently. Ability to work 4 hours in the morning, every other Saturday. Ability to learn light computer skills for checking out customers in the retail store. Ability to learn about products carried in the retail store to ensure correct info is relayed to customers.
