Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Boat Captain/Labor to join our maritime operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating vessels, managing crew members, and ensuring the smooth transportation of watercraft while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in vessel handling, navigation, and crew management will drive our commitment to efficient water transportation services. Responsibilities Operate boats safely and efficiently, following all US Coast Guard (USCG) regulations and maritime safety procedures Manage and oversee crew members, ensuring clear communication and effective teamwork during vessel operations Conduct routine vessel inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure water transportation equipment remains in optimal condition Perform rigging tasks and manual handling to secure cargo or equipment onboard vessels Navigate using marine navigation systems, ensuring precise route planning and safe passage across waterways Execute vessel management duties including docking, anchoring, and maneuvering in various water conditions Maintain detailed logs of vessel activities, safety checks, and maintenance records for compliance and operational transparency Requirements Prior military experience or training highly preferred, with familiarity in maritime operations and discipline standards Proven experience in boat handling, marine navigation systems, and vessel management within the water transportation industry Knowledge of USCG regulations, maritime safety procedures, and water transportation equipment maintenance Strong skills in crew management, maritime piloting, and managing teams as a ship supervisor Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while rigging or during vessel maintenance Mechanical knowledge related to boat engines, rigging gear, and other watercraft components Excellent communication skills for maritime crew coordination and safety protocol adherence Valid certifications in maritime safety procedures; additional certifications in rigging or mechanical work are advantageous Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to safe, reliable water transportation.
