Travel Lift Operator Old Bay Marina Sparrows Point, MD Job Details Part-time | Contract $25 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Equipment safety procedures Lifts and hoists Marina operations Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Travel Lift Operator - Part-Time / Flexible Old Bay Marina is looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined individual to assist with scheduled boat haul-outs and launches using our marine Travelift. This is a part-time, as-needed position with a flexible schedule. Boat movements are scheduled in advance, typically with about one week's notice. Hours vary seasonally, with spring and fall being our busiest times.
Pay:
$100 per boat haul-out or launch. Most take approximately 2-3 hours.
Responsibilities:
Operate the Travelift to safely haul and launch boats Assist with positioning boats and equipment Perform basic equipment safety checks Arrive on time for scheduled boat appointments Assist with other marina work when available/interested
Experience:
Previous Travelift experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Experience with boats, heavy equipment, machinery, mechanics, construction, or similar hands-on work is a plus. Most importantly, we're looking for someone dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable around machinery, and able to reliably show up for scheduled appointments.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 - 15.0 per week
