Job Description

Job Overview JP Oil Services, LLC currently has a position open for a CDL- A Driver. The Truck Driver is responsible to safely and efficiently drive a flatbed truck, haul truck, and or the vacuum truck. The truck driver shall be fully capable of operating the truck's equipment. The Truck Driver is responsible for loading, hauling and unloading a variety of heavy equipment including pumps and pumping units, dog houses, backhoes, etc. On occasion, he/she may have assistance with loading or unloading of the equipment. However, the Truck Driver may have to load and secure the load without help. Drivers will receive on-the-job training as needed to ensure they can safely and effectively operate and maintain equipment in accordance with appropriate regulations, equipment specifications, and in line with company policies, practices, and procedures. Duties Operates CDL required Vacuum trucks Labels, marks, and manifests shipments in accordance with applicable DOT regulations and Company policies, practices and procedures. Loads Material onto trucks appropriately. Always operates vehicle safely. Maintains a current driver's license, or CDL as required. Completes a vehicle inspection report to assure vehicles and equipment are safe to operate before beginning each work assignment. Operates and maintains truck and equipment per manufactures recommendations. Does not modify any vehicle or piece of equipment without written permission from the manufacturer and Company management. Obeys all traffic laws and regulations when operating and driving company vehicles. Trained on the installation, operation, and repairs of mechanical devices such as pumps, valves, PTO's etc. May troubleshoot equipment and make minor repairs if they have the knowledge to complete the task safely. Wears personal protective equipment as required by Company, DOT, OSHA, and customer regulations. Trained on the proper use of all PPE required to do the work safely. Immediately reports all accidents, near misses, and injuries involving employee or others while operating company vehicles/equipment. Recommend changes and improvements to safety and services based on job experience & observations. Verifies that the load, tools, equipment, and materials are secured properly before transporting begins. Responds to callouts at night and weekends as necessary. Performs other duties when assigned. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated. Experience in operating a vacuum truck. Proven experience in truck driving. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local routes. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service. Crane operating experience preferred.
