Job Description
Clean Harbors seeks an OTR Van Driver - Class A to support environmental and industrial service operations across North America. In this role, you'll safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on multi-day routes, transporting materials and equipment between customer sites and company facilities. Responsibilities include completing DOT-compliant inspections and logs, securing and handling freight, and following strict safety and environmental procedures. You'll coordinate closely with dispatch and field teams, maintain accurate paperwork, and represent Clean Harbors' commitment to safety, integrity, and environmental protection. Responsibilities Operate Class A tractor-trailers for over-the-road (OTR) van routes, ensuring safe and timely transport of materials and equipment for environmental and industrial projects Follow DOT, OSHA, and Clean Harbors safety protocols, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections, logs, and incident reporting Secure, load, and unload freight, including environmental and industrial materials, following proper handling and documentation procedures Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site teams to coordinate routes, schedules, and service requirements Maintain accurate paperwork, logs, and electronic records related to routes, deliveries, and regulatory compliance Report vehicle issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance to ensure fleet reliability Support emergency or scheduled environmental service projects as needed, including occasional nights or weekends Required Skills Class A CDL driving Long-haul/OTR operations DOT compliance and logging Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Freight loading and securement Hazardous materials awareness Electronic logging devices (ELDs) Route planning and time management Safety and OSHA procedures Paperwork and documentation accuracy
