About the Role Your After School is hiring a safe, reliable Delivery Driver to join our Curriculum & Materials team. Based out of our warehouse, you'll load and deliver curriculum kits and program materials to our partner sites — making sure the right materials arrive at the right place, on time, and in great condition. You're the final link between our warehouse and the classrooms we serve, so dependability, safe driving, and a friendly, professional presence at each stop matter. When you're not on the road, you'll help out in the warehouse with loading, staging, and keeping things organized. What You'll Do Deliver materials : Transport curriculum kits and program materials from our warehouse to partner sites along assigned routes, on schedule. Load and secure cargo : Load, organize, and safely secure materials in the vehicle; verify each delivery against manifests before departure.
Represent Your After School :
Be a courteous, professional point of contact at each site, confirm deliveries, and handle any on-site questions or issues. Keep records : Complete delivery logs, obtain confirmations/signatures as needed, and communicate route status, delays, or issues to the Inventory & Logistics Manager. Maintain the vehicle : Perform basic pre- and post-trip vehicle checks, keep the vehicle clean, and report maintenance needs or concerns promptly. Support the warehouse : Between routes, assist with loading, packing, staging, and general warehouse organization. Drive and work safely : Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures on the road and in the warehouse. What We're Looking For Valid Connecticut driver's license and a clean driving record (subject to a motor vehicle record check) Safe, courteous driving habits and familiarity with the local Connecticut service area a plus Dependable and punctual, with strong time-management and route-planning sense Attention to detail for verifying deliveries against manifests Comfortable with the physical requirements below and able to load/unload materials Professional, friendly demeanor when interacting with partner sites Prior delivery, courier, or driving experience a plus (not required) Must be at least 18 years of age
Note:
Deliveries are made using a standard van or car — no Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required. Physical Requirements & Work Environment This role combines driving with hands-on warehouse and delivery work, including: Frequently lifting, carrying, and moving materials, including boxes and kits weighing up to approximately 50 lbs (team lifts used for anything heavier) Loading and unloading the delivery vehicle, including bending, reaching, and repetitive motion Extended periods of driving, plus standing and walking at delivery sites Working in a warehouse setting and outdoors in varying weather and seasonal conditions Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role. Health & Safety Safety on the road and in the warehouse is a core expectation of this role. The Delivery Driver is expected to: Obey all traffic laws and drive safely at all times; distracted driving and use of a handheld device while driving are prohibited Follow all OSHA-aligned safety practices and Your After School warehouse safety policies and training Use proper lifting techniques and safe material-handling procedures, using team lifts for heavier items, and properly secure all cargo before transport Complete required safety orientation and training, and promptly report any accidents, injuries, hazards, or unsafe conditions Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record throughout employment
Schedule, Compensation & Benefits Schedule :
Temporary; on-site/route-based out of our warehouse. Set shifts aligned to delivery timelines, with some flexibility. Some overlap with core team hours preferred for coordination.

NY and CT Compensation :
$22-$25 per hour, depending on experience
Benefits :
