Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this role, you'll operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized trucks like dump trucks and roll-off trucks. Your expertise in commercial truck driving will ensure timely, safe deliveries while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Drive OTR routes efficiently, managing delivery schedules while maintaining safety on highways and local roads Load and unload freight using proper manual handling techniques; operate forklifts when necessary for cargo movement Transport refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, or specialty cargo such as flatbed or tanker loads following hazardous materials regulations Utilize GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments to optimize delivery times Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards Document delivery activities accurately, including logs for load & unload operations, route details, and any incidents or delays Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission trucks preferred Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving on various routes such as OTR or local deliveries Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading Ability to handle logistics cargo handling equipment such as forklifts when required for freight movement Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks or roll-off trucks is a plus Strong manual handling skills for load & unload tasks; familiarity with freight types including dangerous goods or hazardous materials is advantageous Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS systems; ability to adapt quickly to route changes or unexpected obstacles Physical stamina to meet the demands of long hours on the road; ability to lift heavy cargo safely when necessary Join us in delivering excellence on every mile!
