Ryder System is hiring a regional CDL A Truck Driver in our Transportation & Logistics department. In this role, you'll safely operate late-model equipment on scheduled regional routes, handling pickups and deliveries for diverse customers. Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and unloading freight, and maintaining accurate logs. You'll work closely with dispatch, follow all DOT and Ryder safety standards, and provide professional customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers on regional routes, following DOT and Ryder safety standards Transport freight between customer locations, distribution centers, and hubs on scheduled routes Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report and document any mechanical issues Secure, load, and unload freight using appropriate equipment and safety procedures Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and electronic logging device (ELD) entries Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding routes and delays Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and Ryder company policies Provide courteous, professional service to customers during pickups and deliveries Perform basic truck maintenance checks (fluids, tires, lights) and coordinate repairs as needed Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement at Ryder Required Skills CDL A truck operation Defensive driving and safety compliance
