Fill in-Light/Medium Truck Driver-Base Post Office Goodwill Industries of SE WI Great Lakes, IL Job Details Part-time $28.45 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Retirement plan Paid sick time Qualifications Employee relationship building Full Job Description TheLight/ Medium Truck Driver is responsible for driving a truck within a city of industrial area to transport materials, merchandise, and or equipment between various types of establishments. This position completes all required paperwork efficiently and neatly.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL
This individual drives a truck within a city of industrial area to transport materials, merchandise, and or equipment between various types of establishments. Position is also, responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transport of merchandise at Naval Station Great Lakes. There are established pick up points between facilities in a straight truck, under 1 1/2 to 4 tons inclusive, usually six (6) wheels. In addition, the individual is responsible for completing all required paperwork efficiently and neatly.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Sort and prepare material for delivery to TSC, NAVSTA and RTC. 2. Load and offload material for delivery. 3. Drive between facilities and all established pick up points as determined by the contracted route. 4. Establish/maintain positive working relations with Goodwill staff. 5. Clean interior and exterior of vehicle at the end of each shift. Make cursory check of vehicle cleanliness throughout shift 6. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
1. One year of successful driving experience preferred. 2. Holds a minimum of Interim Secret Clearance 3. Driving record acceptable to insurance carrier 5. Ability to obtain forklift certification 6. Must be a US Citizen, as defined by US Navy security guidelines 7. Required to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) within 90 days of date of hire, pursuant to US Navy security guidelines. Inability to obtain CAC card may result in removal and/or termination from position.

1. Proven, safe driving record 2. High level of professionalism 3. Able to establish/maintain positive working relationships 4. Ability to work under stress, in fast paced environment 5. Ensure vehicle is fueled at the end of shift. 6. Complete required DOT pre/post trip inspection of vehicle and paperwork of inspection
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS
1. Able to sit for long periods of time 2. Ability to recognize colors (i.e. signs, stoplights, etc.) 3. Work involves exposure to the elements indoor and outdoor. 4. Extensive physical activity.
Requires physical work:
heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
