Job Description

Job Summary Pay:

The average weekly gross is currently around $10,000, which means a driver can typically earn around $3,000 per week. Your actual earnings depend on your performance, miles, and the loads you take. Drivers who are responsible, work efficiently, and keep the truck moving can gross more than $10,000 per week, meaning they can earn more than $3,000 per week. The more efficiently you work and the better you manage your truck and loads, the more you can earn. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with flatbed or dry van configurations across long-distance routes, including OTR driving routes. Navigate using GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations. Transport various types of freight, including refrigerated trailers, automobile transportation, tanker loads, or hazardous materials when qualified. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT standards. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, specifically with flatbed or dry van trailers in freight transportation environments. Demonstrated ability to handle logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading, and securement procedures for various types of freight including hazardous materials or dangerous goods when applicable. Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operation, tanker loads, or automobile transportation is a plus. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations is essential. Experience with route driving across long distances on over-the-road (OTR) routes using GPS navigation systems. Valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements; experience with manual transmission trucks preferred. Delivery driver experience emphasizing safety, manual handling skills, and adherence to safety protocols related to truck driving and freight management.
