We need seasonal employees to assist with taking care of our cattle. Job duties will include caring for, feeding, and handling cattle; putting up and taking down temporary fencing as needed to manage and move cattle; monitoring cattle for health and well-being; driving trucks to haul cattle multiple times during the season; hauling feed needed while the cattle are being cared for; operating equipment to load and unload feed and other materials; operating farm equipment to clean and remove manure from feed yard pens and cattle areas; and performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on trucks, tractors, farm equipment, fencing, and other equipment used in the cattle operation. Employees will also clean and maintain equipment and work areas as necessary to support the seasonal cattle operation. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Family housing not available. Housing will be clean & meet applicable Fed, State and local Housing Standards. Workers must maintain neat & clean housing. Reasonable repair cost of damage, other than normal wear and tear will be deducted from the earnings. Housing/utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to their place of residence the same day. If both male & female workers are hired: separate toilet, bathing and sleeping rooms will be provided. The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration), cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries and/or other incidentals.
