In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating specialized trucks to transport logs and brush efficiently and securely across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in truck driving, storm truck/grappling operations, and adherence to safety regulations will ensure timely operations and uphold our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate a grapple truck and hydraulic grapple arm to load, transport, and unload logs, brush, and tree debris. Assist tree crews with storm cleanup, including moving large logs, brush, and debris from job sites (with equipment). Help with ground cleanup. Perform daily truck and equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license with a Class A CDL. Smoke Free Working Conditions Can pass random drug tests Proven experience in commercial truck driving. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance during over-the-road journeys. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks required for loading/unloading operations.
