Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Log Truck Driver with a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a self loading log truck to transport logs, timber mats, and other related products across various routes. Driver should be skilled in handling a truck on both highway and off-highway. This position requires a dependable, safety oriented individual whose active driving skills, time management, and cargo handling are key to success. Responsibilities Safely operate Class B CDL tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tanker trucks, ensuring compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards Navigate using GPS systems to efficiently plan and follow designated routes, including over-the-road driving routes Transport logs, freight, and cargo across assigned routes while maintaining accurate delivery documentation Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety, proper functioning of manual transmission systems, and compliance with safety standards Manage manual handling tasks involved in cargo loading/unloading while adhering to safety procedures Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit Requirements Valid Class B CDL license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred Proven experience in delivery driving, freight transportation, or log trucking operations Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures, including load & unload techniques Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely Understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA standards,and safety protocols related to truck driving Strong manual handling skills for loading/unloading cargo efficiently while maintaining safety standards Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, route driving efficiency, and customer service Join us in delivering excellence on every route!
