2997580010-2 Apply for this job now Job Description GFL Environmental is seeking a safety-focused CDL Operator to provide reliable collection and transport services in support of environmental and waste management operations. In this role, you will operate commercial vehicles on assigned routes, perform pre/post-trip inspections, safely load and unload materials, and follow all DOT, company, and environmental regulations. You will interact courteously with customers, report equipment or route issues, and complete required logs and documentation. Responsibilities Operate CDL vehicles safely on assigned waste collection and transport routes Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete documentation Load, secure, transport, and unload waste and recyclable materials in compliance with procedures Follow all DOT, company, and environmental safety regulations and policies Maintain accurate driving logs, route sheets, and electronic records Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and supervisors Report equipment defects, route hazards, and incidents promptly Support team members and adapt to changing routes, schedules, and weather conditions Required Skills CDL truck operation Route navigation and scheduling Vehicle safety inspections Knowledge of DOT regulations Waste handling procedures Defensive driving Basic vehicle maintenance Electronic log devices (ELD) use Customer service Time management
