Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of transporting freight across diverse routes. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver goods safely and efficiently. Your expertise in logistics cargo handling, route driving, and compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations will ensure smooth operations on over-the-road (OTR) routes. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo while complying with hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) and dangerous goods following strict safety protocols and hazardous materials regulations. Manage the transportation of automobile parts or vehicles via automobile transportation trailers with precision and care. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road. Document all deliveries accurately, including load & unload details, delivery receipts, and compliance logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Maintain communication with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and provide updates during routes. Ensure truck loading and unloading are performed efficiently while maintaining safety standards for manual handling tasks. Follow all DOT regulations regarding driver hours of service to prevent violations and ensure safety on every trip. Experience Valid CDL A license with clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers is required. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving across long distances on OTR routes. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and freight transport is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and dangerous goods handling is essential. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during trips. Ability to load & unload freight manually or using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety standards. Prior delivery driver experience involving truck loading/unloading, logistics cargo handling, or automobile transportation is a plus. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
