About the
Job:
A Snow Operator will be responsible for running a piece of equipment (skid loader, wheel loader, backhoe, etc.) equipped with a snow plow to remove snow from parking lots, roads, & driveways. This position requires at least 1 year experience or proficient knowledge of snow equipment operation. Candidates for this position should be available between November 1
  • April 15th.
Shifts range from six to 12 hours, but may require more hours for larger storms. Pay is based on experience/proficiency & availability.
Job Duties:
Respond promptly to calls for on call snow and ice events Conduct pre-shift inspections and maintenance on equipment Clear snow and ice accumulations from customer sites Pile snow in designated and approved locations only Be available for communication at all times Document and report any obstacles at site(s)
Requirements:
Able to work outdoors in freezing weather conditions Maintain good physical condition to be able to lift 50-60 pounds without assistance Valid and Clean driver's license with no restrictions, and the ability to be insured by From the Ground Up. Operators will need to provide certification or undergo a DOT physical. Ability to work well with other team members Pass a company safety training course Ability to use a smartphone for two-way communication, mobile dispatch, and our field software Work well under high-pressure situations Be punctual, reliable, and passionate about providing a high level of service to our customers. Minimum 1 year experience operating heavy equipment Option for full time emp loyment in the spring may be an option. Immigration sponsorship is not available with this position.
