This position offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized trucks such as dump trucks and roll-off trucks. As a driver, you will be the face of our company on the road, delivering goods promptly while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in logistics cargo handling, route driving, and vehicle operation will contribute directly to our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized vehicles for freight delivery across designated routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently while following proper manual handling procedures and safety protocols. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries and optimal routing, maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and road closures. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, hazardous materials regulations, and other relevant safety guidelines. Transport hazardous or dangerous goods such as hazardous materials or chemicals in accordance with hazard-specific regulations. Manage the transportation of refrigerated trailers when required, ensuring proper temperature control during transit. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; report any concerns promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records throughout each shift. Ensure secure transportation of automobile transportation units or other specialty cargo while adhering to all safety standards. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving in various environments. Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations, flatbed hauling, tanker transport, and freight handling procedures. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation. Skilled in manual transmission operation and manual handling techniques for cargo loading/unloading. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time traffic management. Demonstrated ability to manage over-the-road (OTR) driving routes efficiently while maintaining safety at all times. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for specific vehicle types such as hazmat or tanker certifications preferred.
