Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License A Flatbed Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across regional and over-the-road (OTR) routes with energy and precision. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with flatbed configurations on diverse routes, including OTR driving routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo handling for logistics cargo handling and truck loading/unloading procedures Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes and meet delivery schedules Transport refrigerated trailers, tanker loads, or hazardous materials in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and dangerous goods protocols Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to verify safety standards and vehicle condition Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with flatbed endorsement; experience with manual transmission preferred Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various conditions Knowledge of truck loading and unloading techniques, including securing freight on flatbeds for safe transport Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations, tanker loads, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling is highly desirable Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning and real-time adjustments Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload tasks; physically capable of managing freight safely Valid medical certification required for commercial drivers; clean driving record preferred Embark on a career that drives your passion for trucking forward!
