Responsibilities Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment to clear snow and ice from designated areas, including roads, driveways, parking lots, and walkways Conduct pre-operation inspections of plow vehicles to ensure safety and proper functioning of all mechanical components Follow established safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure safe working conditions during winter weather operations Communicate effectively with team members regarding weather conditions, equipment status, and operational updates Assist with the application of de-icing materials when necessary to enhance safety on cleared surfaces Maintain detailed logs of work performed, including areas cleared and time spent on each task Perform routine maintenance checks on plow trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly Experience Previous outdoor work experience, particularly in snow removal or related fields such as landscaping or grounds maintenance Mechanical knowledge of power tools, ground maintenance equipment, and vehicle operation is highly desirable Familiarity with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, tree care, gardening, irrigation systems, and plant identification is a plus Knowledge of safety protocols for outdoor equipment operation and winter weather conditions Ability to operate hand tools and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently Strong physical stamina to perform manual tasks in cold weather environments This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive outdoors in seasonal conditions and are committed to maintaining safe environments through efficient snow removal.
