Job Description

As a key member of the UniFirst Corporation team, the Route Driver is responsible for the delivery and pick-up of uniforms, linens, and other facility services products to businesses across various sectors. This position is pivotal in maintaining the strong customer service and detail-oriented delivery that UniFirst is known for. The ideal candidate will be an ambassador of UniFirst on the roads and directly at the customer's doorstep, reflecting our commitment to professionalism and excellence in every interaction. Responsibilities Safely drive a Uni First delivery truck within the assigned route and ensure timely delivery of products. Load and unload delivery vehicles with items to be distributed to customers. Review delivery schedule and customer orders to plan the day's route and delivery priorities. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer signatures, ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete. Inspect vehicle daily for cleanliness and perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections. Provide excellent customer service, addressing and resolving customer concerns and feedback. Adhere to all company and road safety regulations. Participate in meetings and training sessions as required. Required Skills Strong driving ability and knowledge of delivery protocols. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to navigate various routes in addition to reading and interpreting road signs and maps. Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and staff. Basic mechanical knowledge to manage minor vehicle maintenance.
