We are currently seeking full-time Driver to join our Millerton, NY team. This position features local daytime deliveries with the benefit of being home every night.
Position Details Job Type:
Full-Time Schedule - Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Every other Saturday Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance 401(k) with Profit Sharing Employee Discount Program Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, and Holidays Work Boot Allowance Key Responsibilities Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, testing requirements, and training programs. Safely operate company vehicles and make scheduled local deliveries. Prepare and maintain delivery paperwork, invoices, and load receipts. Complete and maintain driver logs in accordance with state and federal regulations. Load and unload building materials and customer orders. Perform daily vehicle inspections, including tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and cargo securement equipment. Complete and submit required maintenance and inspection reports. Secure loads using proper tie-downs, ropes, blocks, and other safety equipment. Provide excellent customer service and assist in resolving delivery-related concerns. Immediately report accidents, near misses, traffic violations, or traffic stops to management. Assist with deliveries out of the Hillsdale, NY location, yard and warehouse operations when driving assignments are not scheduled. Qualifications Valid Driver's License required. Ability to comply with all DOT laws and regulations. One year of delivery driving experience preferred, but not required. Forklift certification or the ability to successfully complete forklift training and demonstrate ongoing safe operation. Experience No prior experience required. Training opportunities available for motivated candidates. Physical Requirements To successfully perform this role, employees must be able to: Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, coworkers, and supervisors. Operate vehicles, machinery, and equipment requiring manual dexterity. Regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
