This position is great for retirees who are looking to stay active, earn extra income, and enjoy a flexible daytime schedule. As a driver with Teammates Center, you will safely transport individuals to and from our day program on morning and afternoon routes, as well as drive clients to community outings, volunteer sites, and various activities throughout the day. We have several different locations around Summit County and one location in Portage County, those locations include sites in:
  • Munroe Falls
  • Stow
  • Hudson
  • Akron
  • Bath
  • Fairlawn
  • Ravenna Duties Safely transport individuals to and from our program during morning and afternoon routes.
Drive clients to community outings, volunteer sites, recreational activities, and other scheduled destinations throughout the day. Assist individuals with entering and exiting the vehicle. Ensure all passengers are safely secured before driving. Follow assigned routes and transportation schedules. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming vehicle. Communicate with supervisors and/or families regarding route changes, delays, or concerns. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including checking maintenance needs and ensuring safety features are functional Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition reports for compliance and record-keeping purposes Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass required background checks. Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious. Ability to assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed. Provide safe assistance to individuals with mobility needs, including operating wheelchair lifts and properly securing wheelchairs in the vehicle. Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete all required training provided by Teammates Center. Schedule Monday through Friday Flexible daytime hours Shifts range from 2 to 8 hours per day depending on transportation needs.
