Resident Transportation Driver Eastgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - 3.4 East Providence, RI Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication In-person customer service Rehabilitation devices Wheelchair mobility assistance Driver's License Full Job Description We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Resident Transport Driver to assist with transporting residents to and from medical appointments and other approved destinations. Responsibilities Safely transport residents to scheduled medical appointments and other approved destinations. Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle safely. Safely accommodate residents using wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices. Ensure residents arrive at appointments on time and are returned to the facility promptly. Maintain communication with nursing staff regarding departures, appointments, delays, and resident returns. Follow all facility transportation, safety, infection-control, and resident-rights procedures. Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the facility vehicle. Complete required transportation logs and documentation. Provide residents with courteous, respectful, and professional assistance throughout transportation. Qualifications Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Valid Rhode Island CNA license is recommended. Dependable, punctual, able to manage an appointment-based schedule, and on call Comfortable working with elderly and rehabilitation residents, including individuals with mobility limitations. Ability to safely assist residents with wheelchairs and other mobility equipment. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Must meet all applicable facility employment and transportation requirements. Previous experience in healthcare, senior care, medical transportation, or a similar setting is preferred but not required. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who understands that transporting our residents is more than simply driving. Our driver should be reliable, patient, safety-focused, and compassionate , while helping residents get to their appointments safely and comfortably. EOE
